Thank you for using 4Wars2 ("the App"). Your privacy matters to us, and we want to be upfront about how the App works. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not collect, and the terms under which you use it.

4Wars2 is a modern digital adaptation of the classic Chinese military-chess game 四国军棋 (Four-Country Junqi) — a two-team, four-player strategy game with AI opponents. The App is designed purely for entertainment and strategic gameplay.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or share any personal information on our servers.

4Wars2 does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal details such as your name, email address, or phone number. The App does not use cookies, analytics services, advertising frameworks, or any third-party tracking tools.

No Location Data

Unlike map or navigation applications, 4Wars2 does not request or use your device's location. The App has no need for GPS, coarse location, or any geolocation services.

Locally Stored Data

4Wars2 stores only the following data locally on your device:

  • Language preference (English or 中文) — saved in SharedPreferences under four_wars_prefs so the App remembers your language choice between sessions.

  • Game state — the current board layout, piece positions, and game progress are held in memory during gameplay. No game state is persisted to disk or transmitted off your device.

This data never leaves your device, and it is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it.

Network Usage

4Wars2 is a fully offline game. It does not require an internet connection to function. The App makes no network requests of any kind — no map tiles, no weather data, no analytics, no advertisements.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

To be clear, 4Wars2 does not collect any of the following:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, address, phone number)

  • Device identifiers or hardware information

  • Contacts, photos, files, SMS, or any other on-device content

  • Location or GPS data

  • Usage analytics, behavioral data, or browsing history

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Network traffic or connection logs

3. Third-Party Services

4Wars2 does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, analytics platforms, social media SDKs, crash-reporting services, or external APIs. The App is entirely self-contained and operates fully offline.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data handling — including language preferences and in-memory game state — occurs entirely on your device. No data is transmitted from your device to us or to any server under our control. Because we do not collect or store any user data on our side, there is no personal data under our control that could be breached.

You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing 4Wars2's app data in Android Settings or by uninstalling the App.

5. Permissions

4Wars2 requests only the permissions it needs to function:

  • Internet / network state — declared in the manifest for compatibility but not actively used by the App. No network connections are made during normal operation.

The App does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, call logs, or SMS.

6. Children's Privacy

4Wars2 does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it does not pose a privacy risk specific to children. 4Wars2 is a general-purpose strategy game and is not specifically directed at children.

7. Purpose and Disclaimer

4Wars2 is a digital board-game adaptation for entertainment purposes. Please read the following carefully:

  • The App is designed to simulate the classic 四国军棋 (Four-Country Junqi) board game with AI opponents.

  • Game rules, piece rankings, and board layout follow standard 四国大战 conventions as described in the App's documentation.

  • 4Wars2 is a game only. It is not a gambling, betting, or real-money application. No in-app purchases, virtual currency, or real-world prizes are offered.

  • The AI behavior and game outcomes are determined by algorithmic heuristics and random deployment; the App does not guarantee any particular level of play or strategic accuracy.

  • Users assume all risk associated with their use of the App. The developer, INFOPLUS, LLC, is not responsible for any damages or consequences arising from the use of the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INFOPLUS, LLC, ITS DEVELOPER(S), AFFILIATES, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:

  • YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP;

  • ANY DECISIONS OR ACTIONS TAKEN BASED ON INFORMATION DISPLAYED IN THE APP;

  • ANY INACCURACIES, ERRORS, OR OMISSIONS IN THE GAME LOGIC OR AI BEHAVIOR;

  • ANY INTERRUPTION, DELAY, OR FAILURE OF THE APP.

USE OF THIS APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading, installing, or using 4Wars2, you consent to this Privacy Policy, acknowledge the entertainment-purpose nature of the App, and agree that you assume all risk related to your use of it.
